It didn't keep me up late, but it didn't put me to sleep either. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book, even though I am not a pet owner. I found this book to be an honest and touching read with unconditional love as its central theme. It covers the newlywed years, the ups and downs of trying to start a family, homeownership and career moves. John Grogan's memoir is much more than a pet story.
